Most of the desktop computers and laptops out there in the market offer some HDMI output for external displays or digital flat screens. But for some reason, Apple decided to ignore this facet for their computers. If you are one of those who lack HDMI output and want one, Atlona has just come up with a solution. Atlona’s AT-HDPix Universal USB to HDMI convertor will allow any user to connect their flat screen to their desktop or laptop computers. It is compatible with both PCs and Mac computers and they give out a maximum resolution of 1600×1200 PC signal or HD content at 720P. The audio output is separated from the video output via a 3.5 millimeter stereo input jack. The retail price of the HDPiX is about $179 and should be shipping before Christmas.
