Samsung is said to release a digital TV converter that will allow digital signals to be broadcasted on analog TVs for the low price of $75. After February 17, 2009 these boxes will be necessary after TV signals are switched from analog to Digital TV, without a converter box these TVs will no longer work. They would work as great conversational pieces of the 20th century. The government said it will issue two $40 coupons for consumers who have yet to upgrade. LG Electronics stated that they would release their converter for $60 next year but Samsung believes they still have the advantage as there are many who want to obtain converters right now.

For those still using a TV they used to watch classic Nickelodeon cartoons on why not just upgrade to an HDTV? With HDTV price cuts maybe it’s time to enjoy watching your favorite movies and shows in HD.
