Microsoft has planned to release “Windows Feature Pack for Storage” which is said to add support for Blu-ray discs and the ability to burn them. The pack will be an upgrade for Windows XP and Vista and Server 2003 and 2008. There is no set release date planned for the Feature Pack yet. Details from Microsoft’s website:

Image Mastering API update for Blu-Ray media: This feature enables the Windows platform to do master style optical burning on Blu-Ray media.
