DISH Network is the first to broadcast in 1080p TV

The Satellite TV provider DISH Network became the first TV broadcaster to broadcast full 1080p video resolution. Their first offering was the movie I Am Legend in their Video On Demand service, more titles are to be offered when available according to DISH. They claim their broadcasts is the same as quality as Blu-ray but at a much cheaper price. Only customers that own HD DVR devices will be available to take advantage of this service however. A software upgrade will also be available to subscribers. With DISH being the first, I wonder who will follow suit to offer affordable 1080p broadcasts.
